We are seeking an Investment Assistant for our Home Office in the Houston Galleria area.  The Investment Assistant is primarily responsible for investment support related to Trust Asset Management's business. The successful candidate will have previous administrative or sales support experience in an investment environment.

 

Trust Asset Management (“TAM”) is an SEC registered investment advisor based in Houston, Texas.  TAM provides investment solutions tailored to the investment needs of our institutional clients.    Started in 2009, TAM has grown to over $956 million in assets under management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor investment accounts on Pershing system and respond to market action needed on said accounts, i.e. trades, calls, reorganizations, etc
  • Resolve trade settlement issues
  • Effect transactions on the Pershing system
    • New Accounts (Trust Alternative)
    • Deposit and Withdrawal Journals (Trust Alternative)
    • Setup New trust EIN’s (Trust Alternative)
    • Income Distributions
    • Trustee Fees
    • Trust Admin Fees
    • Setup Pershing user access
    • Mutual fund trades
  • Produce quarterly regulatory reports
  • Produce quarterly trustee reporting
  • Maintain ORO investment database and handle posting issues
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience working in investments
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Pershing system experience a plus
  • Series 65 licensed or ability to obtain license within 6 months of date of hire
  • Must be able to work independently and take minimum direction
  • Professional and tactful communication skills
  • Experience handling difficult situations with confidence and diplomacy
