We are seeking an Investment Analyst for our Home Office in the Houston Galleria area.  The Analyst is primarily responsible for cash management and assistance with monitoring of private investments related to TAM’s advisory business. 

 

Trust Asset Management (“TAM”) is an SEC registered investment advisor based in Houston, Texas.  TAM provides investment solutions tailored to the investment needs of our institutional clients.    Started in 2009, TAM has grown to over $956 million in assets under management.

Responsibilities

  • Review expenses related to Subadvisors and investments and initiate payment processing
  • Assist with due diligence on prospective investment opportunities
  • Assist with the production and collection of investment related documents
  • Assist with the settlement of private investment transactions (Security setup and funding initiation)
  • Monitor performance of private investments, including adherence of parties to investment related documents
  • Monitor deadlines related to private investments and update Investment Calendar
  • Update Loan Tracker
  • Assist with workouts related to defaulted investments
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related required
  • 2+ years securities industry experience, private equity or hedge fund experience preferred
  • Above average problem solving skills and eager to learn
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented, must be able to work independently and take minimum direction
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Northern Trust Hedge Fund Passport system experience preferred
  • Professional and tactful communication skills
