We are seeking a Seminar Coordinator for Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe, HI. This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading seminars in a specific region that emphasize the education of the community about memorial services, and the value of pre-arranging services. The successful candidate will have professional communication and customer service skills, as well as, 3+ of seminar or event planning experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the marketing group to find the target market, set up events to reach them; including assisting in the advertising to the group
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain and improve community relations
  • Provide materials for events and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Partner with local staff to ensure the event has enough personnel
  • Look for opportunities to improve events from guest feedback
  • Coordinate with other staff to input information into the CRM systems
  • Maintain a calendar of events and other community outreach opportunities to attend and build relations by attending
  • Partner with venues to plan events and schedule events

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of seminar or event planning experience
  • Proficient in MS Word and CRM systems
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Previous sales and/or funeral profession experience highly preferred
