We are seeking a Collections Specialist for our Home Office in Houston, TX, near the Galleria. Our Collection’s department is a combination of customer service, quality control, and accounting. The collections aspect will be soft collections, as our agents will be acting as first party contacts. Your role will encompass reaching out to our clients via phone to resolve any overdue balances, negotiating balances, and providing billing suggestions.

Responsibilities

  • Contact and pursue clients with past due balance and negotiate payment arrangements 
  • Partner with locations to address and resolve billing/collections discrepancies
  • Comply with and maintain Daily Outbound Call/Customer Contact standards
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain detailed customer information on delinquent accounts including contact information.
  • Research and resolve customer disputes
  • Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed Plans, and Programs
  • Send collection letters to clients in accordance with company 
  • Skip trace 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent investigative and research skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills and team player
  • Soft skills
  • Passion for customer service
  • 1+ years of collections experience preferred
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred but not required
  • Experience within a call center environment preferred
