We are seeking a Funeral Services Assistant. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Embalming Care Center team by assisting with preparation of the deceased and ensuring our client families are satisfied with their memorial services. The successful candidate will have organizational and time management skills.

• Assist funeral directors with events held on site, including services and loading caskets for transport
• Assist funeral directors with preparation of decedents, including bathing, dressing, & casketing
• Responsible for transferring decedents to other affiliated funeral homes
• Help maintain the facilities, including embalming preparation areas
• Answer customer inquiries in a professional manner, either by phone or in person
• Assist with removals as needed while establishing and maintaining strong business relationship with families

• 1 year of experience in customer service preferred
• Experience handling difficult situations
• Funeral profession experience preferred
• Valid drivers license and ability to pass MVR check
• High level of compassion and integrity
• Ability to lift 150- 200 pounds without the assistance of mobile or powered equipment
